I pray you are Veiled in Peace...
In 2016, God called me to veil. I had always admired the beauty of the veil and traditional idea attached to it. Then God just kept calling me to it. I had to learn more! Why do women veil? Why did so many let it go? What is the church’s opinion on it today? Question after question. I had to know it all!
My mind made up, I found a veil at my local catholic supply store. I remember the first day I put it on. I cried because of the sense of fulfillment; that I had done what God asked of me. Though I was the lone veiler at our parish for a few years, slowly, so slowly, more started.
In 2023, I made my first veils for myself and a friend. Purple ones for Lent. I sewed them by hand because I hadn’t yet made friends with my sewing machine. Before the end of that Lenten season, I had made a whole box full and was going anywhere I knew there was Catholic women. I sewed and sold and attended conferences and parish events far and wide with my little store.
Now in 2025, here I am, officially in business! I am so grateful to God for giving me this little ministry. I pray that it will continue to bless my family, and that you will let me bless you with your own mantle, like Mary.
With Love,
Jaymie
